Find a great primer to balance out flaws and prepare your skin for the make up you'll be applying on top of it
I'm not great with make up. I've never really shown much interest in it. So to find great products that work, is always a bit of challenge. Luckily I have friends who are kind of make up-obsessed so that comes in handy when I need some tips.
They gave me the advice to buy Benefit's "POREfessional face primer".
One thing I liked about it beforehand, is that it really focuses on minimizing pores, which is a big concern for me.
Since I'm not into make up, I absolutely don't want my face to look like it's plastered with tons of creams and powders. I've been using this balm for a few weeks now and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's very light and easy to use and it does what it promises. An added bonus is that you don't need much product at a time, so you really get your money's worth. I will be buying this again in the future!
I have never had the best skin. It's dry and red for the most part and every skin care product I use, that's not just right, makes the problem only worse.
When I first started out with a skin care routine, in my teens, I started using the Nivea - Daily Essentials line for dry and sensitive skin. In the years that followed, I tried all sorts of other products because I thought the first line I tried when I was a teenager weren't necessarily the best products to use. I tried cheap routines from various drugstore brands, but also ones that were more expensive, such as Shiseido, Biotherm and Clinique.
While the ones from the drugstore might be (a bit) cheaper and the more expensive ones looked nicer and smelled better, none of them did for my skin what my regular Nivea line did. So I guess I chose right on the first try!
