If there is one band, that everyone knows, it must be Guns N' Roses. I've been been a big fan of them, but of course I know the most famous songs, such as November Rain, Paradise City and Sweet Child o' Mine.
Every year we have this four day festival here in my country with lots of newer/hipper/younger bands that always draw quite the crowd. For example this year, one of the headliners at the festival were the Foo Fighters. About a week before that festival, there is a one-day-festival held in the same place, where somewhat older bands come to play. Like this year, The Pretenders and Guns N' Roses. So this was my chance! Some of my friends are really into old rock so it wasn't hard to gather some people.
To be honest, I wasn't expecting too much of the show because I've heard some things about their best days being behind them. But I didn't think that was the case at all. They sounded great live and played for almost 3 hours. The last 30 minutes were as well sung and played as the first 30 minutes. I think that's quite impressive for a band that's been around this long!
Only thing that was a bit weird, was that after every song there was an instrumental solo, so Axl Rose could go change into something else. The man had more costume changes during his concert than Katy Perry.
But still, really fun and happy I went!
